Matt Weir’s artwork covers a diverse landscape of materials, scales and concepts. Through the intentional use of referential and symbolic mediums Matt’s work securely adapts itself for an international dialogue whether at home, the park, the city, or in the museum gallery.
As a highly experienced sculptor Matt deftly operates throughout a rich palate of concepts and materials from ancient processes such as stone and bronze to contemporary synthetics such as plastics and rubber. Whether exploring sound, geometry, engineered land-art, geologic time or the figure directly, Matt Weir’s expressions are concentrated works of art.
